What does a class look like?

Free Play

When children arrive at school they are invited to participate in free play with their caregiver and friends.  The class is filled with toys, stations, and centers for the children to enjoy.

Circle Time

Each class includes a circle time that is developmentally appropriate for the class age and is centered around a theme for the week.  Circle time includes singing, storytelling, math and reading concepts, and fun hands on learning.  Each child sits at the circle with their caregiver.

Snack
Students are invited to the snack table to enjoy a snack brought in by the helper family for the week.  Children of all ages enjoy sharing a snack with their peers.

Physical Activity

Class concludes with an opportunity for children to engage in a physical activity.  On nice weather days, children enjoy the playground.

How do parents help in class?

Each week, a parent volunteer will be needed to assist the teacher with a variety of tasks. At the beginning of the semester, the class coordinator will send out a sign up to organize volunteers.
